Hi, and welcome to my web site which I have managed since 1996 when I returned to Norway from the United States in order to live a simple life up in the Norwegian mountains.
I live in a small log cabin situated along the Oslo to Bergen train line, not far from the very top end of the Halingdal valley, pretty much in the center of Norway. From where I live, it is just an hour drive, across the great Hardanger plane, to the fjords of the west coast. A must see for any visitor to Norway.
Among my daily routines, I answer mail from people all over the world, and make sure my collection of useful links is up to date and accurate. Over the years, the link collection has grown to be the largest of its kind on the internet, with thousands of visitors every day.
Although I know a lot about Norway, I am no travel agent or local history expert, so I cannot answer very detailed questions, but I will be happy to help you find your way through my link collection where you should be able to find the speciffic information you are looking for.
Please note that I get a lot of e-mail, and that I do not have time to answer everyone, so do your research before contacting me. You should be able to find your way around my link collection by either going directly to it, or by following the the instructions layed out on this blog.
Yours sincerely,
Helpful Fred
